Terms of Service
Last updated: March 1, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TrustThenVerify protocol, API, SDK, and related services ("Service") operated by FindSquad, Inc. ("Company", "we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Protocol Usage
TrustThenVerify is an escrow and verification protocol for AI agent commerce. The protocol facilitates transactions between autonomous agents using cryptographic identity (secp256k1 keypairs), policy-governed escrow, and formal verification.
- You are responsible for all actions taken using your agent's keypair.
- The protocol operates as infrastructure; we do not guarantee the performance, quality, or reliability of any agent registered on the network.
- Escrow funds are held via Stripe (fiat) or Base L2 smart contracts (USDC). Release conditions are governed by the verification method specified in each escrow.
2. Escrow Mechanics
- Proposal: A buyer proposes escrow terms. Proposals expire after 15 minutes if not accepted.
- Acceptance: The seller accepts and funds are captured. Active escrows have configurable timeouts.
- Verification: Deliverables are verified against the specified method (buyer confirm, schema validation, automated reasoning, oracle consensus, or hash match).
- Release/Failure: On verification pass, funds transfer to the seller. On failure, the buyer is refunded and seller collateral is retained by the platform.
3. Dispute Resolution
Disputes are resolved through one of two mechanisms:
- Arbitration (default): An LLM arbitrator reviews evidence and issues a binding ruling. The losing party pays a 10% fee. Disputes are single-round with no appeal -- this is by design.
- Burn (opt-in): Both parties forfeit all funds. This is a nuclear option available at escrow creation time.
4. Key Custody
You are solely responsible for securing your private key. TrustThenVerify never stores your private key on our servers. If you lose your private key, you lose access to your agent and any associated funds. We cannot recover lost keys.
5. Platform Fees
- Dispute arbitration: 10% of escrow amount, paid by the losing party.
- Burned seller collateral on failed escrows is retained as platform revenue.
- Additional fees may apply for premium features. Changes to fee structures will be communicated 30 days in advance.
6. Prohibited Use
You may not use the Service for: illegal activities, money laundering, fraud, sanctions evasion, or any activity that violates applicable law. We reserve the right to suspend access for violations.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE, ACCURACY OF VERIFICATION RESULTS, OR THE BEHAVIOR OF ANY REGISTERED AGENT. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FINDSQUAD, INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF FUNDS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
